Nebraska Football: Status of Wan’Dale Robinson up in the air for Friday – Husker Corner

Nebraska Football is unsure of Robinson’s health as it relates to Friday’s game.

Another week, another instance where Nebraska Football is unsure if freshman sensation Wan’Dale Robinson can play. With this being a short week, it would make sense to keep him on the sidelines. However, this isn’t just any random week. It’s the Iowa game, and a chance at a bowl berth for the Nebraska football program.

I really hope he can go.  He has truly been a spark plug for the team.  So far, head coach Scott Frost has kept things close to the vest when discussing Robinson’s injury. I get why he’s doing it, he doesn’t want to set any expectations for the injured guys. Especially if they can’t play, that would make them look bad. However, an update on Robinson’s injury would certainly be appreciated.

If I am Frost, I leave it up to Robinson. This is a huge game for the program. If Robinson can’t go, he can’t go. From a coaching standpoint, I would have all my talent ready to go. I’m sure this is a game that Robinson does not want to sit out if he can help it. Playing in a bowl game as a freshman would certainly be exciting. From an offensive standpoint, Robinson adds so much to that unit. From runs to catching out of the backfield, to turning on the jets after catches, Robinson can do it
