Nebraska Football: Kanawai Noa’s season unfortunately coming to a close – Husker Corner

Noa’s time with Nebraska Football has ended.

There is some unfortunate news on the injury front for Nebraska Football. Wide receiver Kanawai Noa is done for the year after undergoing surgery on his meniscus. This brings his Nebraska career to a close.

Playing in 10 games, he started in nine of them. He caught 17 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Some may argue that he was underutilized, and I would have to agree. This wasn’t necessarily his fault. The offense often had trouble getting the ball to its receivers.

He appeared to be more involved in the offense later in the season. His best game statistics-wise came against Wisconsin. In that contest, he caught three passes for 72 yards. That gave me hope he would be able to finish his Nebraska career on a high note.

I was really excited about him coming to Nebraska. I thought he could add another layer to the offense, and to some extent he did. He certainly made the most of his catches, and he was an extremely good possession receiver. He is the type of receiver Nebraska Football should focus on recruiting in the future. I really wish he had more time in Lincoln and I wonder how much more he could have done had the offense looked as good as it’s been over the past couple of games.

Hopefully, he will be able to see his team earn a bowl
