Nebraska Football: Several Huskers get Big Ten honorable mentions – Husker Corner

Nebraska Football picked up some accolades on Tuesday,

Nebraska Football was shut out from any of the All-Big Ten teams. However, they were well-represented in the honorable-mention category. Wide receiver JD Spielman, Junior offensive tackle Brendan Jaimes, Junior running back Dedrick Mills, and freshman receiver Wan’Dale Robinson all were able to garner accolades in that category.

Spielman had a great season for Nebraska Football all things considered. After starting off slow, he came on strong in the second half. He caught 49 passes for 898 yards and five touchdowns on the year. His best game came against Illinois. In that contest, he caught seven passes for 160 yards. Averaging 22.9 yards per catch, a 41-yard grab was his longest of the evening. His most recent 100 yard game came against Maryland. He caught seven passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Jaimes did a great job on the offensive line. He started off the season slowly, but he gradually improved. By the end of the year, he was one of the strongest lineman Nebraska Football had. Heading into his senior year, I’m excited to see what he can do. He should be a key piece in keeping the quarterback up right next year.

Mills was a great story. After transferring from Georgia Tech, we weren’t sure what type of running back we were going to get. Mills ended up having a great year for Nebraska he
