NCAA Volleyball: Nebraska Sends Ball State Home – Corn Nation

Nebraska sent Ball State home in the first round of the NCAA volleyball tournament, 25-13, 25-18, 25-10.

Nebraska was low on errors as the team hit .425. Everyone looked good as the smaller Cardinal block didn’t block anything. I’m not being critical, that is the actual stat – 0 blocks. The Huskers had 17 blocks.

Madi Kubik had a particularly good night hitting .688 and digging 7 balls. What a way to start your post-season career! Lauren Stivrins was right there with Kubik hitting .667. Stivrins added 5 blocks to the night.

Nebraska looked good tonight. They looked really good. Tomorrow night Nebraska plays University of Missouri. They aren’t a ton bigger than Ball State but they are more physical in their play. The Tigers also looked good in their first round match against UNI beating them in 3 sets.

Nebraska and Missouri met in the same round in the same place last year. The result was a 3-0 for NU. Watch it tomorrow night at 7 pm on NET, BTN Plus and the Husker Sport Network.
