American League West

Athletics

Led by Jesus Luzardo, the A’s farm system should infuse plenty of young talent to the Major League club this season. Oakland’s Top 30 features 11 prospects with an ETA of 2019. However, the system is also balanced with 13 prospects boasting ETA’s of 2021 and 2022. More »

1) Jesus Luzardo, LHP; 2) A.J. Puk, LHP; 3) Sean Murphy, C; Complete Top 30 list »

Angels

Billy Eppler has helped revive the Angels’ farm system, which was one of the worst in baseball just a few years ago. The Angels farm system is on the rise and although it lacks some depth, it does have a high ceiling thanks to several toolsy and athletic prospects. More »

National League East

Braves

Marlins

The Marlins farm system isn’t elite, but it’s certainly improved since Bruce Sherman and Derek Jeter bought the team. In the last 14 months, the Marlins have traded for 12 of their top 30 prospects, including No. 1 prospect Sixto Sanchez. Miami also made a splash on the international market when it landed Victor Victor Mesa, however there have been mixed reviews and it remains to be seen how he will perform. More »

1) Sixto Sanchez, RHP; 2) Victor Victor Mesa, OF; 3) Monte Harrison, OF; Complete Top 30 list »

Mets

Since taking over as Mets GM, Brodie Van Wagenen has made it very clear that he wants the Mets to be in “win-now” mode. Van Wagenen traded away top prospect Justin Dunn and Jarred Kelenic to get Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano, so he’s certainly willing to part with prospects. Given that trade, plus the limited sample size of Van Wagenen as a GM, it’s hard to gauge what this system may look like in a year or two. More »

1) Pete Alonso, 1B; 2) Andres Gimenez, SS; 3) Ronny Mauricio, SS; Complete Top 30 list »

Nationals

The Nationals have certainly shown an ability to develop international prospects. Juan Soto took the league by storm last year and he wasn’t even the club’s No. 1 prospect. That honor fell to Victor Robles, who was hurt for the majority of 2018, but should contribute in Washington this season. More »

1) Victor Robles, OF; 2) Carter Kieboom, SS; 3) Luis Garcia, INF; Complete Top 30 list »

Phillies

The Phillies farm system took a bit of a dip right before Spring Training when Sixto Sanchez was traded to Miami as part of the J.T. Realmuto deal. That being said, the Phillies system still possesses exciting young players and very good talent at the top of the list. More »

1) Alec Bohm, 3B; Adonis Medina, RHP; 3) Adam Haseley, OF; Complete Top 30 list »

National League Central

Brewers

The Brewers don’t have a bunch of big-league ready arms in the system, however it is pretty easy to envision each of the organization’s top two prospects in the lineup at some point in 2019. Keston Hiura should hit his way to the Majors and Corey Ray, who has plus power and speed, may find a home in the outfield as well. More »

1) Keston Hiura, 2B; 2) Corey Ray, OF; 3) Brice Turang, SS; Complete Top 30 list »

Cardinals

The Cardinals signaled that they are in “win-now” mode when the acquired Paul Goldschmidt and signed Andrew Miller over the offseason, however the veteran acquisitions don’t mean there isn’t any room for prospects. Looking further down the line, Nolan Gorman has a chance to be the centerpiece of the Cardinals’ lineup in the future. More »

1) Alex Reyes, RHP; 2) Nolan Gorman, 3B; 3) Andrew Knizner, C; Complete Top 30 list »
