LAFC defender Mohamed El Monir reminded us this weekend why you should never give up.
El Monir’s side were up against Houston Dynamo when striker Alberth Elis nodded the ball past goalkeeper Tyler Miller and prepared to tap into the empty net.
But Elis didn’t account for the unbreakable willpower of El Monir, who nipped in and prevented what looked like being a certain goal.

LAFC went on to win the game 3-1 – a result which leaves them 12 points clear of LA Galaxy at the top of the MLS Western Conference.
